During the tour you can see:

• Marina Horta – we start from there and finish;

•    Monte da Guia – a special protected area with caves;

• Porto Pim Bay – historically significant for whale hunting;

• Ponta Furada – a fascinating cave complex;

• Morro de Castelo Branco – a natural reserve with unique, stunning, nearly white trachytic rock formation [on the Azores there are only in two places, both on Faial island];

• Varadouro Bay – known for its cliffs and as a breeding ground for Cory’s shearwaters [cagarros];

• Varadouro Village – featuring a unique lava delta created by the eruption of 1672/73;

• Capelinhos Volcano – the volcano formed during 13 months [1957/58] is one of the biggest tourist attractions in the entire Azores.

  As we return, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the island. Often, we are fortunate to encounter marine life such as dolphins, whales, sea turtles, sharks, flying fish, crabs, and large groups of cagarros.

TOUR:

We start at different times, so it's better to confirm by phone when the boat tour will start. The tour lasts approximately 2.5-3 hours.

In order for the boat tour to take place, we need a minimum of 6 people. In the case of a smaller number of people, it may happen that the trip will not take place.

IMPORTANT!:

As the weather in the Azores can be very changeable, don't put off your Capelinhos Ocean Tours until the last minute. It's always good to have a few spare days . It may also happen, that the weather conditions change and the boat tour will not take place. Your safety is most important to us
